OVER THE PAST 12 months Universal City – the five square miles of North Hollywood dominated by the MCA/Universal studios – has yielded a crop of artists, writers and producers so successful that their music has been given a generic title, The Sunset Sound, a tribute to the Sunset Strip clubs that play the music.
