Mike and Bill
John Abbey, Blues & Soul, December 1975
THOUGH IT hasn't developed into being the monster success that we predicted, Mike & Bill's highly commendable (and danceworthy!) 'Somebody's Gotta Go' has established the new duo of Mike and Bill as a chart act. Together since 1973, Mike and Bill originally released the record during last summer on their own Movin' Up label and it was so well received in the local New York discos that Arista walked in with their cheque book open and snapped the record up for national distribution.
