Our sweep through Canada and the US Midwest took in Edmonton, Des Moines, Omaha, Oklahoma and Grand Forks, North Dakota, a locale so obscure that band bassist and founder Nikki Sixx greeted our arrival there with a heartfelt cry of "What the fuck IS this place?"
