THOSE WHO start young are more apt to make it since they've more time to profit from their errors. Such a person is Neil Diamond. Apparently placing great faith in the "early start" theory, Neil began writing songs while he was still in high school in Brooklyn. "I got a job for $50 a week writing songs for other people," reveals the darkly handsome Neil.
