NEIL YOUNG is probably the most overindulged talent in rock: overindulged by his record company, who let him put out whatever old rubbish he has lying around at any given time; and overindulged by fans and critics reluctant to admit that, whatever his former glories, they are long gone, and in some cases they weren't all that glorious in the first place.
