Nick Drake: Requiem For A Solitary Man

ON OCTOBER 25th, 1974, at approximately six in the morning Nick Drake, a 26-yearold singer/songwriter, died from an overdose of Typtasol, an antidepressant, in the bedroom of his parents' house in Tanworth-in-Arden, not far from Stratford-upon-Avon. The coroner's verdict was death by suicide, culminating from prolonged mental illness, which, in turn, was manifested through heavy introspective depressions. This verdict will be contested in the following article.
