Nico

Giovanni Dadomo, Sounds, 29 April 1978

THE INTERVIEW took place in a neat flat high on Hampstead Hill. Nico looked much as she always has, dressed in short crushed velvet jacket over kaftan, long skirt and sturdy, low-heeled boots. Time's tugged at the corner of her eyes a little but she's still a strikingly beautiful woman. Far more so than the first time we met during the last stages of recording The End, her most recent and — she would soon agree — least successful album.
