On Stoney Ground with Bernard Fowler
Steve Roeser, Goldmine, 31 July 1998
ROCKERS CAN BE free spirits and generous souls, and many of them are – often surprisingly so. Nevertheless, they can also be susceptible to feelings of envy and jealousy when they see how well one of their own appears to be doing. Looks can be deceiving, but you can hardly blame people (who might have known him when he was starting out about 15 years ago) for being just a bit envious of singer Bernard Fowler. For more than 10 years, the tall, dreadlocked, versatile vocalist has carved out a solid second career by both recording and touring with the Rolling Stones.
