SOMETHING GARDENS the place was called. Gardens? At a conservative estimate not so much as a blade of grass had dared to peep above ground in this section of Liverpool for 150 years. Little bits of backstreet between the main roads looping around Lime Street Station. Tall warehouse of weathered, grimed brick. A lot of people, a lot of life, very attractive to tourists like us local colour.
