ONCE UPON a time, Papas Fritas were just another dweebish lo-fi band from Massachusetts, growing up in the shadows of Sebadoh and Dinosaur Jr.. But then something happened to principal songwriter and guitarist Tony Goddess. He awoke with a blinding flash and saw that recording on four-track was no longer an excuse for making sloppy music.
