Paralytic Today, Paris Tonight: The Saints
Barney Hoskyns, unpublished, 1981
AT THIS TIME, A RETROSPECTIVE on the Saints could only be written by someone with a sense of great personal mission. Perhaps it's even a question of vendetta, of avenging the neglect of the Saints by the morons of the media. I feel sure that Saints fanatics must still lurk in isolated areas of this desolated country, but in what dry-rotting basements are they to be found? If one blasted a tape of 'Nights In Venice' outside their windows, would they spring out into the light?
