I don't know who runs Nighthawk Records, but I'll nominate them for immediate induction into the Hall of Fame wing at the College of Musical Knowledge for releasing this album. Mardi Gras in New Orleans makes available the sides Longhair cut during the period 1949-57, virtually all of which have been available only to the hardest of hard-core collectors until now.
