"I SAW THIS face looking up at me out of the trashcan. It was a woman. It looked like a flamenco dancer staring at me. As I pulled [the photo] open, the emulsion was peeling and there was some chemical reaction going on that was making the stuff bubble and peel off the face. I reached down, pulled it out and asked the photographer if we could use this on the album. He said, 'Yeah'."
