DESPITE STIFFS CLAIMS, Chiswick Records has been the most adventurous of the new British storefront labels. While Stiff has relied for the most part on experienced acts (acid casualties and pub rock piss artists alike), Chiswick has taken real flyers on bands from places way beyond the jaws of hell, e.g. Skrewdriver (Blackpool) and Johnny and the Self Abusers (Scotland).
