Radiohead/Beck/Supergrass/Sigur Ros/Humphrey Lyttelton/Rock Of Travolta/Hester Thrale: South Park, Oxford, Saturday 7th July

IF IT WASN'T quite the summer garden party it should have been, Radiohead's big homecoming bash at Oxford's South Park was mostly (or at least moistly) magnificent. Thick grey cloud hung over the park all day and occasionally spilled rain on the many thousands of indiekidz gathered to witness the band's first UK show since the release of Amnesiac. But fortunately the real downpour only commenced as Radiohead were wrapping up a quite remarkable set at about 10.30 pm.
