LONDON Ray Davies' tired eyes incredulously surveyed the scene before him. The view from the top was a familiar one. The sprawling greenery of Hyde Park in heat provided stationary sanity. A sea of changing faces, gay laughter, forced conversation, and clanging champagne glasses whirled by in an elusive blurr.
