Real Men Don't Paint Themselves Into Corners: The Circle Jerks Story
Danny (Shredder) Weizmann, L.A. Weekly, 13 January 1984
It probably isn't very easy to be the Circle Jerks. What with all the jaded Angelenos pulling their pinkies out of their pupiks every waking moment to criticize you, and the new shav-ed ones finding enlightenment in funkier, more timely bands like Suicidal Tendencies or the Vandals, and a total of minus-four clubs to play at, three of which have sound systems comparable to a tin can and string telephone, and a highly unpopular second album, produced with complete disregard for thrust and excitement, and drummers taking off right and left to study hard in law school, it probably isn't very easy. But it looks like a whole lotta mutha fuckin' fun.
