Rickie Lee Jones
Barney Hoskyns, Guardian, The, March 1991
AS ANY OF the fans who have helped to sell out her shows in London and Glasgow this weekend will know, Rickie Lee Jones likes to take her time. The sometime boho chanteuse, who never fully recovered from the overnight success of her first single Chuck Es In Love in 1979, has not graced these shores with a visit in several years. Nor has she exactly been prolific on the recording front: her latest release Pop Pop is only her fifth album proper in a 13-year career.
