WHAT A SWELL party it was. Not being an opera fan, I don't often see 3,500 people in black tie and evening gowns. It's a magnificent sight, and scanning the Albert Hall from my box on the grand tier, I couldn't help but wish more stars would impose a dress code on their audience.
