He's played alongside Hendrix, Mike Oldfield and Phil Manzanera, as well as avant-garde extremists such as Fred Frith, with whom he hilariously appeared on Top Of The Pops in the mid-Seventies, covering The Monkees' 'I'm A Believer'.
