Robert Wyatt: Rock Bottom
Ian MacDonald, NME, 27 July 1974
COUNTING MATCHING Mole's first album, this is Robert Wyatt's third solo record. It echoes his previous ventures in being a strong statement of mood, but replaces the occasional self-defensive evasions of the specific (always present in his previous lyrics) with a particular focus on what's happened to him over the past year – since the accident which left him paralysed from the waist down.
