Ronnie McNeir
John Abbey, Blues & Soul, July 1975
WITHOUT DOUBT, one of the prettiest and classiest ballads currently on the American charts comes from Detroit-based Ronnie McNeir and is entitled 'Wendy Is Gone'. The song is penned by Ronnie, too and he produced and arranged the session as well as playing all of the rhythm instruments on the session. To underline the man's versatility, he originally recorded the record with his own money and released it on his own label, Setting Sun Records.
