Ruby Turner: Jewel In The Crown
Penny Reel, NME, 8 February 1986
IT MIGHT be late to break nationally but in this man's town at least Ruby Turner's beefy update of 'If You're Ready (Come Go With Me)' is already one of the most overheard sounds around. Radios London and Capital plug the song relentlessly and it always seems to be playing in every cafe and newsagent I enter. It looks like Ruby Turner has suddenly achieved the overnight success of seven years' hard work.
