Rufus' Chaka Khan: Golden Lady
David Nathan, Blues & Soul, December 1975
IT'S DIFFICULT to believe that much of the power, strength and soul that you hear when you hear Rufus stems from anyone as petite and almost diminutive as Ms. Chaka Khan. Literally a dynamo on stage ("I consider myself a free spirit"), the lady is in person alert and expressive and yet cool and charming. She took a little time out of a busy schedule to rap with B&S about herself, her work and her life.
