Seals and Crofts, Ohio Knox: The Troubadour, Los Angeles CA

Colman Andrews, Phonograph Record, June 1971

JIM SEALS and Dash Crofts exercise a rare and nearly faultless contextual hegemony over the musical province they have staked out for themselves. I don't know if it's long friendship, instructive experience, or maybe some fringe benefit of the Bahai faith they espouse, but whatever allows them to fit together so flawlessly and to retain so firmly their command of the expeditions that their music leads them on, sure as hell works.
