WHILE ANDREW ELDRITCH has been away, all sorts of musical mice have been out to play. In the wake of the first and last Sisters Of Mercy album, 1985's First And Last And Always, the evil empires of Goth and Grebo have risen, and a new underworld fiefdom of boozed up, acid-spiked anti-heroes has emerged: Missions, Cults, Mindwarped Doctors and Gaye Bykers all hell-bent on reviving an old-fashioned sense of irresponsible rockist hedonism.
