Sly & The Family Stone: Fresh (Epic)

I LIKE A little mystery, don't you? 'Course you do. So here's one: the finished version of Sly's new album, in the shops at last, is virtually completely different to the one I previewed a few weeks ago. That copy, an English pressing which came without a sleeve (the album has been held up because of problems with the cover art-work), differs in countless respects from the one you'll be able to buy – which will be an American pressing, imported by CBS until they can print the sleeves here themselves.
