Small Faces: Rock Roots: The Singles Album
Ira Robbins, Trouser Press, December 1977
NOW THAT STEVE Marriot has put a version of the Small Faces back together, there's been a bit of resurgence (perhaps as a result of the unsatisfactory new album) of interest in the original singles that established the group as top mod idols in the mid-'60s. Courtesy or Decca's proficient reissue department, all sixteen single sides released between mid-1965 and mid-1967 (after which the group signed with Andrew Loog's Immediate) have been collected on one disc.
