WHILE TOURING Britain last September, the Temptations were not shy about slagging off their former record company, Motown. Numerous quotes from my interview with the group had to be edited out of the published article in Black Music. It was the opinion of an IPC lawyer that costly libel suits lurked in many pockets of the group's conversation.
