THE NAME STEVE LUKATHER is well respected amongst musicians and guitarists alike worldwide. Still in his teens, Lukather joined Boz Scaggs' backing band, then went on to form one of LA's finest bands, Toto. From the late '70s through the '80s he become a most in-demand session player, playing on countless of records by a virtual who's who of the music industry. During rehearsals with his band Steve kindly gave some time to Joe Matera to talk about his career and his new live album with Larry Carlton called No Substitutions (Favored Nations), which showcases his and Carlton's brilliant guitar playing mastery. The album has also picked up two Grammy nominations for the upcoming awards later this month.
