Strolling Down Punk-Rock Lane: Legs McNeil

THE CLASS OF 1976 held a reunion in the lobby of the Gershwin Hotel late last month. While inspecting a photography exhibition documenting their youth, several hundred New Yorkers gawked, caught up and swapped war stories. Familiar faces eyed each other with collegial recognition, extrapolating the passage of two decades behind fashions no longer matched in style or station.
