Suede: Head Music
David Cavanagh, MOJO, June 1999
HEAD MUSIC is at once Suede's escape from their glam-pop confines and their belated arrival at the late '90s technological party. They've torn away at their own fabric, easing back on the tried-and-tested song structures of old, and revelling in a never-imagined, groove-based flexibility that renders Coming Up all but obsolete. It's a huge breakthrough.
