That, according to Wayne Kramer of MC5, in a nutshell was the message of Sun Ra, as conveyed over 200-plus albums of sprawling free jazz, deafening atonal electronics and chanted incantations inspired by a bizarre, homebrewed mixture of cosmology, Egyptology, numerology and, says filmmaker Don Letts, "whatever other 'ology' he could lay his hands on."
