THOUGH it’s hard to believe, there actually was a time when youth simply signified non-adult status. Adults and youth each held to their own preferences, standards and models. Unlike in the fifties, early sixties moms and pops weren’t vigilant in their efforts to destroy an incipient youth revolt. Nor were they preoccupied with trying to participate.
