Tami Lynn
John Abbey, Blues & Soul, May 1971
"YOU'RE JOKING. It's just like a dream. God, it must have been five...no, six years ago that I made that record." Those were the first few words spoken by Miss Tami Lynn when I got through on the telephone to her in Miami at the home of Dr. John. In fact, Tami was in Miami working with Dr. John on his new album, on which Tami is one of the back-up vocalistes. (Another is Shirley Goodman, of Shirley and Lee fame.) "That's incredible. Of course, I'm surprised. I haven't played the record in six years even."
