The Angels Did Sing: Noel Redding 1945-2003
Keith Altham, Rock's Backpages, May 2003
MY FIRST TRIP to the U.S. for the New Musical Express was with The Jimi Hendrix Experience for the Monterey Festival. So the sad death of Noel Redding, who became a good friend over the years – I sometimes stayed at his spiritual (Guinness in the main) home in Clonakilty, Southern Ireland – had a particular poignancy for me. He was a "grand lad" in all senses of that peculiarly apposite Irishism.
