I'VE BEEN reveling in the Blasters ever since their first Slash album in late '81, but for no good reason, or so it seemed to me. I mean, if when put to the test all you can do is say, like some mellifluous 'NEW deejay, "they're a really solid rock 'n' roll band," then you might as well retire the ballpoint and walk into the waves.
