IT WAS QUITE laughable to see how pathetically misinformed were all parties concerned in the great mod revival swindle of 1980. But then it was always certain they would be. After all, the modernist movement was already in its death throes when the media first latched onto it 16 years previous, and the word mod a dirty one by the time the likes of the Who and the Small Faces set about constructing their own plastic approximations of the same.
