IT WASN'T YOUR typical ribbon cutting. Gazillionaire Paul Allen smashed a Stratocaster made of unflavored green rock candy, designed especially for the occasion by glass artist Dale Chihuly, into thousands of fragments. A wall of balloons popped at once. And the Experience Music Project was officially open.
