The Family Business: Richard Thompson and Relatives

Sept. 2011 note: I spent 18 months working on this piece. Richard was the easiest to get hold of. When I shared this tidbit with him following an Oct. 2010 concert at New York’s Town Hall, he quipped: "Some things don’t change." I had to go to London in September 2009 to meet up with Linda, who was attending Kamila’s gig at the Troubador. Linda’s former label apparently never passed on the interview request to her.
