SANTA MONICA, Calif. – The Hollies, one of the original British invaders of the 1960s, are at yet another crossroads. Allan Clarke – one of the group's co-founders, lead vocalist on all the hits and collaborating composer on ‘Long, Cool Woman’, ‘On a Carousel’, ‘Stop, Stop, Stop’ and others – has left the group on the verge of what might have become their greatest American success. Depending on who is explaining, he was either kicked out or imagines he was.
