The LSD Of Underground Rock

Mark Williams, International Times, 13 June 1969

IN AN ARTICLE in the dreaded Melody Maker (7/6/69), Tony Wilson points out that, 'At last the underground seems to be coming to terms with reality and realising that commercial isn't such a dirty word after all. It is taking a mature outlook.' The article refers to the running of the Midnight Court Friday night events at the Lyceum but the above remarks apply just as accurately to what OUGHT to be happening within the musical ghetto of the underground.
