The Platters
John Abbey, Blues & Soul, November 1971
IN THE States, there is as much confusion over The Platters as there has been over The Drifters with numerous groups touring the country using the name. The Drifters situation, although still not resolved, is at least clear in as much as the name is owned by a corporation, The Drifters Inc., who have a recording contract with Atlantic Records. The Platters controversy is still in its infancy, though.
