The Rolling Stones: Jagger Rap/Stoned Earful

Mark Williams, International Times, 4 July 1969

FEELING RATHER like a tin can on a conveyor belt, moving along waiting to be filled with fruit salad or spaghetti, I went along to interview M. Jagger. The scene was that the Stones are going thru the ritual of doing all their press scenes in a few days, to publicise their new single, 'Honky Tonk Woman'. So I took my turn along with Danish Radio and some American magazine. It wasn't a situation too conducive to free, relaxed chat and one could suss that Mick was a bit fed up with having to reel out witty and intelligent quips for the voracious appetites of the human media. I don't blame him.
