THE ROLLING STONES are apt to get tied in with so many images, drugs, decadence, libertine aristos of the jive renaissance, that it gets all too easy to forget that they're also musicians. Part of the reason for this is that, right from the very start, they've always cultivated the supreme image as a major part of the pitch.
