The Rubinoos: The Rubinoos
Ken Barnes, Phonograph Record, May 1977
THE RUBINOOS, Beserkley Records' hot new quartet of Bay Area teenagers, lead off their debut album with a new version of Tommy James' 1967 classic pop hearthrob number, I Think We're Alone Now. The Rubinoos do Tommy's terrific tune justice; the band even adds a slight improvement with some Beach Boys-like falsetto on the fadeout.
