WHEN 'GLAD All Over', the third single by The Dave Clark Five, hit number one in Britain in January of 1964 it offered the media the opportunity they'd been drooling for to prove that the Beatles "bubble" had finally burst. Some even started to refer to the "Tottenham Sound" in an attempt to pit it, football wise, against the "Mersey Sound".
