ALTHOUGH THE Spencer Davis Group are best remembered for propelling the young Stevie Winwood to prominence, paving the way for Traffic, Blind Faith and, of course, Arc Of A Diver, the group itself enjoyed a remarkable lifespan all of its own, one that has most recently returned to the headlines as Davis leads a new incarnation of his group around the European and, earlier this year, the US tour circuit.
