The Teardrop Explodes: Kilimanjaro
Paul Morley, NME, 4 October 1980
OF COURSE putting four singles on an LP is cheating, even if two are re-done. And the cover's pretty bad as well. But if you're The Teardrop Explodes, you're fun and you're suss, a cross between the big grin and the fashionable grim, you get away with it. Elton John or Rod Stewart – no chance. I wouldn't have it any other way.
