The Who

John Swenson, Beetle, 30 November 1972

As has been stated in the past. Beetle is not a magazine for everyone. We attempt to appeal to specific tastes. It was with this mind that we asked New York rockwriter John Swenson, one of the world's foremost authorities on the Who, for the following piece. John has in the past been a regular contributor to the now-defunct Zygote, the ever-popular Crawdaddy and of course Beetle. John's first book will see publication soon, the subject of the book being the Who. The following piece, the first in a two-part series, was taken from the manuscript of that book.

Total word count of piece: 2745
